Family Adventures

I know it's been a while since I've posted anything but now that it's summer, sitting at the computer is the last thing I want to be doing. With the holiday, family parties and other summer fun, we girlyfields have been extremely busy the past couple weeks. I feel like things are finally starting to settle down so now I get to write a nice, LONG update on what we've been up to. On the fourth we started our day off at the Tooele parade. Kaitlee and Ivy enjoyed waving to the princesses as the floats went by. Then, our good friends the Jarvis' (Chad and Jen) invited us to go swimming with them at their parent's house. You'll have to check out their blog to see all the fun pictures of that. After that, we headed up Butterfield Canyon to have a picnic with my family. Fried chicken, potato salad and watermelon...Yum! We decided since we were already half way up the canyon we'd finish the drive to the top. What a view!!! On the way down the other side we happened to run into my bro Kerry and Kim on four wheelers. They had been camping there for a few days. Ivy was the only one awake so Kim took her for a ride with Macy before we finished the drive down the canyon. Later that night, we tried to go see fireworks at Deseret Peak but we were too late. Luckily the night before we got to see plenty of fireworks with the show Jerry put on. He invited a bunch of our friends over to watch and even charged some of them a $10 fee (Thanks to those of you who chipped in). A couple of years ago, he and his friend Johnny Clark bought a few fireworks to put on a little show. Since then it's just gotten bigger and bigger every year. He loves doing it and we had fun, so thanks Jer!

Last weekend we went bowling with Rory, Stephanie and their son Braxton. (Cutest 10 year old I know!) Jared works with Rory at Broken Arrow. It was fun but next time I will definitely get a babysitter. I did more chasing than bowling.

This is a view that I have become way too familiar with. Our poor little girls spend way more time in their carseats then they would like. Normally we only go into Salt Lake a couple times a month but it seems like anytime there's a holiday, we end up going in just about every day for a whole week or so.

This morning before church, Jared got some really cute pictures of Kaitlee and Ivy. Sonrisa wasn't really in the mood for posing.
